Playing to an audience that was under capacity earlier this month did little to dull the spirit that propels My Brightest Diamond.
The show got off to a slow start with some technical difficulties. After about 5 minutes of deafening silence and watching Shara play around with her amp she declared, "User error" and the show got back on track, although some minor technical difficulties would appear throughout. Dubbed the "Eleven Fingered Tailor Tour" for reasons beyond me, the show consisted mostly of material from 2006's Bring Me the Workhouse as well as some new material, a couple of covers (Edith Piaf and Soft Cell) and one on the spot audience request.
Shara Worden's talents are vast and she puts each one on display in her live show with a determined fervor. Although I can't express her live show any better than this fine gentleman did here.
