News and Notes: Hideout Block Party, Metallica, Fake Problems, Silver Jews

Nekocase ///Rumor has it that The Hideout will feature Neko Case and The New Pornographers at their annual Block Party.

///Metallica have named their upcoming album Death Magnetic. Look for the magnetic death in September via the neither deathly nor magnetic Warner Brother Records. [Thanks, Billboard]

///Fake Problems have been in the study to record with Omaha magic man, AJ Mogis. Mojis has recorded almost every worthwhile album to come out of the relatively recent Omaha music scene - which makes me think he might be the common denominator that matters. [Thanks, Punknews]

///Stream the Silver Jews Lookout Mountain, Lookout Sea on their MySpace.

That should actually all be confirmed for the hideout block party. I attended a show a couple of weekends ago at the hideout and Tim announced that Neko would be playing a set one night and then she would be playing with the New Pornographers the next night.
