I Like to Move It Move It

Baby_5 Local heroes Kidz in the Hall and The Hood Internet are headlining a benefit for the Chicago Art Partnerships in Education (CAPE) at the Metro this Sunday. DJ talent includes Million $ Mano and Brooklyn's Sammy Bananas. Yeah it's Sunday night, but that lineup is white-hot fire plus it starts at 5:30, so you won't even have to call in sick or anything. At WORST you might have to sleep late and try to convince your boss you forgot Labor Day already happened.

Oh, and some exciting news for those of us who have been steadily assaulting our ears since early adolescence: Scientists might have found a way to repair hearing damage using human stem cells. They haven't got it totally figured out yet, and the whole "stem cell" thing is kind of a hot-button issue these days. But Oprah will be President by time we all start going officially stone deaf, and she seems like a sensible lady. Turn up those headphones and stand next to that speaker, y'all! I have seen the future and it is a consequence-free environment!
