As News Director at RFC I'm constantly stalking people on the Internet on the prowl for the latest in Chicago-centric musical happenings. Not to get all soap-boxy, but we really believe in spreading the gospel of the incredible work being done among the labels, artists and venues et al within our Chicago community. If you belong in the aforementioned group of peeps and haven't already been stalked by heard from me, never fear. You will within the next 32.8 hours.
That being said (I promise that this is related) I just stumbled upon a remix by this Dutch tulip called Don Diablo, when sifting through RFC's pit of despair meticulously organized inbox. He's apparently a master-genius who's awesome at everything and is bigger than ABBA (visit his MySpace page and he'll tell you all about it, trust me) across the pond. Anyway, the remix is of the newest single "Girls" from our homeboys Walter Meego (who are also bigger than ABBA, and have the most funnest website evar).
The remix didn't blow my mind, but I included it for those curious kittens who might want to weigh-in (Samantha, I'm talking to you). What's more important is that I visited all of the Walter Meego Internet stuffs and was re-introduced to how truly fantastical they are. If you haven't heard their new album, check it out.
