I know it's out of the ordinary to write about a concert that's not for months in the future but the fact of the matter is that this one deserves your attention.
On September 26th, Sea Wolf will be hitting Chicago again, following up his fantastic sold out gig last summer at Schubas with a set at sister venue Lincoln Hall. What makes this special, however, is the fact that the whole set will be Alex Brown Church all by his lonesome, just him and his acoustic guitar.
To say that Sea Wolf plays a fantastic set is an understatement. Singing earthy and otherworldly songs anchored by the strength of Church's voice, Sea Wolf sounds just as impeccably rapturous live as on record, a rarity when it comes to such densely layered indie rock. How will the songs fare acoustic? Well, if Church's Daytrotter session is any indicator, it should be lovely. Us? We're just hoping he plays "I Made a Resolution".
