Does anyone do post-appocalyptic pop better than Jukebox the Ghost? It's undeniable that RFC loves the trio, who blend wordy and theatrical indie pop seamlessly with dark subject matter about the end of the world, all of which begs the question: When was the last time the end of the world sounded this good?
This fall, Jukebox the Ghost will release their sophomore album, Everything Under The Sun, but first, the band hits Lollapalooza, playing at 1:45 tomorrow. While I'm usually not an advocate of venturing outdoors until after 3, Jukebox has me making an exception, breaching my self-imposed hermitage to brave the horrors of early day Grant Park.
Earlier this Summer, RFC got to catch Jukebox in Michigan and shot an exclusive video of the band playing new single "Empire" outside a pawn shop. Keep reading for that, some more exclusive pics, and another tune to get you geared up for the band's tenure in the city.
