There are few things that cause me to "shake and cry", as they say on the internet. Sure, I get excited but the last time I think I was literally shaking and crying from anything music related was on the 4th of July when Hamilton Leithauser crooned a medly of "We've Been Had" and "The Rat" to me and me alone (Full disclosure: There were probably about 100 other people there, too). However, this morning, whilst on the ol' twitter, when I read the following tweet from Cursive, I was seriously shaking and crying.
"Cursive will be performing Domestica for its 10th Year Anniversary in Chicago on NYE - 12/31/10 tickets on sale! http://bit.ly/dmvRxP"
Be still my heart and be dry my eyes. Cursive performing one of the most important albums of my late teens? On New Year's Eve? God damn. I said God damn!
Before this, I'd been hoping the aforementioned Walkmen would be doing a New Year's date so I could hear Leithauser sing one of his numberous December 31st at 11:59 p.m. themed tunes to me and room full of amorous drunks becuase what's better that that? Duh. Cursive doing Domestica.
