The Beat Kitchen was a rockin' Wednesday night with the sights and sounds of The Teeth, a quartet of cool kats out of the city of brotherly love.

Once again mine eyes and ears were exposed happily to a band I've never heard of before but will definitely be filed away under the "best live shows" category. I am usually a very hard person to please, but with music something akin to the kinks, as well as frantic passion, and a sweet mustache donned by this guy:
This particular live show would be impossible to degrade as well as impossible not to dance at, though an entire crowd of hipsters managed to keep their cool and not get too visibly into the music. It is the Chicago hipster code after all (at least at 99.9% of the shows I've been to), "there is no dancing allowed, only polite toe tapping or head bobbing, please". I broke the code, it couldn't be helped. Also fortunately The Teeth danced enough for the entire lot of insecure hipsters.
There is a Chicago date listed on their myspace for a TBA show July 19th. So I highly recommend that everyone check them out, go to the show, and try not to dance. I dare you.
i find it hard not to dance at my desk, upon seeing this post.
