///Get ready 2008, David Bowie will be releasing a new album on June 30th. But wait, this isn't a new new album, but rather a live bootleg release from the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium on October 20th, 1972 - one of the bands earlier state side gigs. [Thanks, Consequence of Sound]
///Neko Case, at a recent New Pornographers concert in Washington D.C., fell and badly hurt her ankle. After attempting to "play through the pain" she realized that Canada's national health care would be pretty nice. She has since (sadly) quit the tour and will not play with the band on their remaining few dates. Unfortunately this news comes late to those who went to Saturday's show at The Riv. [Thanks, Aversion]
///David Byrne and Brian Eno are finishing up on a record that they collaborated for - the first time since 1981's My Life in the Bush of Ghosts. No word on release dates, labels, or tracklists, but it does look like their will be Byrne/Eno tour dates sometime in the future. [Thanks, Consequence of Sound]
///Singer/Songwriter James McMurtry remembers vinyl, high fidelity, and record stores on Saturday's first official Record Store Day.
