Earlier in the summer, following the announcement of the release date of their sophomore album, Sea Wolf's "Stanislaus" was released to the internet. While the track was good, it didn't offer anything we hadn't heard from Sea Wolf before on the lovely 2007 album Leaves in the River.
Today, another new Sea Wolf track began to make the rounds on various blogs and while it is, without a doubt, Sea Wolf-esque, the song "Wicked Blood" might be the most upbeat song we've seen from frontman Alex Brown Church so far. It's accessible and catchy without being out of vein of the darker elements of Sea Wolf's previous release, the glossiness no doubt being helped along by producer Mike Mogis.
White Water, White Bloom will be released on Dangerbird Records September 22nd and Sea Wolf will hit Schuba's in support of the release on October 1st.
