I have a theory abot the Tillmans. My theory is that whenever they leave the house, girls swoon. Maybe girls even faint. I mean, I would. But maybe that's just me.
For those not familiar with the Tillmans, Zach is the man behind Pearly Gate Music, a band R.F.C. is no stranger to fawning over, and the older brother, J. Tillman is the dude drumming up a folky storm behind Robin Pecknold and the other Fleet Foxes. He's also the man behind a pretty prolific solo career that includes 6 full length LP's.
It seems to me that everything involving a Tillman turns to pure gold so to say I have pretty high hopes for J. Tillman's 7th disc is an accurate statement. Singing Ax comes out in February and if new tracks "Three Sisters" and "Diamondback" are any indication, it'll be nothing less than perfectly in step with the stellar folk Tillman has produced before.
Cool hometown fun fact? Singing Ax was recorded at Electrical Audio by Steve Albini!
I have read a number of posts of yours, but this is the one that I like the most. So expecting some more ideas from your side. Thanks !
